Scooter Accident

On February 24, 2008, while riding my scooter to work on a beautiful Sunday morning, a car stopped directly in front of me in the middle of an intersection. I broke hard to avoid hitting them, and ended up laying the scooter down on the pavement, breaking my left leg. Bystanders quickly called paramedics, and I was rushed to the hospital with two spiral fractures in my left leg. I was in the hospital four days, and doctors tell me it will be a long and slow recovery. I won’t be able to put any pressure, or weight on my left leg until Late July. Needless to say, I won’t be on a scooter any time soon. Although I’m in rough shape, I try and take a positive outlook. I was wearing my helmet, and the situation could have been quite worse. Plus, I also got out of work for a month! Thank you to all who have gone out of their way to help Jennifer and I while we are coping with the accident, and the birth of Samantha. It is amazing how much support we have received. We thank, and love you all.
